Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council
Northern Michigan contains some of the most important, diverse, and pristine water resources on earth. Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council protects these waters — Great Lakes, inland lakes, rivers, streams, wetlands, and ground water — for future generations to enjoy their unspoiled character. Since 1979, the Watershed Council has protected the water resources of Antrim, Charlevoix, Cheboygan, and Emmet Counties. Supported by members of full-time and seasonal residents, lake associations, and businesses, the Watershed Council focus is on environmental integrity and economic and aesthetic values of water resources.
