June 2023 |
Established nearly 16 years ago, the Red Hot Best awards give MyNorth and Traverse Magazine readers an opportunity to nominate and vote for their Up North favorites “across seven regions and 47 different categories,” according to Traverse Magazine’s MyNorth enewsletter, issue, “230,000+ nominations and votes were cast.”
#1 Coffee Shop – Roast & Toast
For 4 years running, Roast & Toast has received the #1 Coffee Shop designation, with many other 1st and 2nds throughout the contest’s tenure.
“We take great pride in producing the very best coffee,” shares Ben Walker, Roast & Toast General Manager and Partner. “The consistent #1 Coffee Shop rating is exciting and is validation that our fresh, small-batch, house-roasted coffee is definitely appreciated and worth our extra efforts. We take great pride in producing an amazing cup,” Walker adds.
Using carefully selected beans from around the world, “we roast according to bean profile, create blends, and conduct small-batch techniques to maintain a selection of freshly roasted varieties,” Walker shares.
