Anticipation, it’s keepin’ me waitin’…
We’re excited to announce that the waiting is over. Palette Bistro will reopen its doors for curbside pick-up and limited guest seating on Friday, May 22, at 4pm.
Planned far in advance of the COVID-19 Executive Order (EO) closures, Palette Bistro had previously scheduled a spring renovation shutdown. Extensive kitchen construction including new flooring, plus interior finishing updates and paint were initiated in March, stopped to comply with EO restrictions, then restarted and finished just this week.
“After 10 years of business, we were in need of some updates and were already in the process of renovating parts of the restaurant,” explain Palette Bistro General Manager Joe Keedy. “And, the changes are even more relevant given current safety considerations.” The new kitchen floor, for example, allows for a complete wash-down with updated drainage systems. New paint and touch-ups throughout the restaurant were coupled with intensive cleaning. “Anticipation is an understatement,” Keedy adds. “We are beyond excited to show guests how we can operate safely and provide a great dining experience.”
Additional staff training, mandatory masks for all staff, reconfigured table arrangements to maintain 6-ft distancing, and frequent cleaning protocols are all in addition to Palette Bistro’s already-in-place food handling and safety standards. Though restaurants are not mandated by the EO to have guests wear masks, “We are requiring guests to wear masks when entering and exiting the restaurant, and when using restrooms,” Keedy explains. Once guests are seated, masks are not required. (These safety and mask standards will also be implemented at Palette’s sister restaurant, City Park Grill.)
Though touting updated protocols is important so guests feel safe, Keedy is most excited to share food and beverage offerings. “We’ll be offering an expanded wood-fired pizza menu, new salads and entrée favorites.” And, consistent with prior days, Palette Bistro will continue to sell wine by-the-bottle and cases at retail pricing for patrons to take home.
Reservations are strongly encouraged, and outdoor seating area will be the initial priority for social distancing. For reservations and curbside delivery orders, call 231.348.3321. An updated menu will be posted at PALETTEBISTRO.com.
Palette Bistro is a Wineguys Restaurant Group property with sister restaurants City Park Grill and Roast & Toast.
