The 6th Green at Jax Northside
THE 6th GREEN cocktail can make anyone feel like a golfer. And, the coming of color season often brings the best days to hit the course. Made with raspberry vodka, Blue Curacao and pineapple juice, the mix of colors create a refreshing green hue inspired by the top-notch Charlevoix Municipal Golf Course views from Jax outdoor patio and four-season deck.
The cocktail’s name inspiration is obvious! Jax Northside offers a variety of different craft cocktails, but none are as golf-inspired as THE 6th GREEN. Topped off with an orange peel and a maraschino cherry that perfectly complement the green drink color.
The Charlevoix Municipal Golf Course is one of the oldest in Michigan, dating back to 1896! The historic course has been maintained for over 100 years by the City of Charlevoix and is still deemed a fantastic course by Michigan golfers. The 9-hole, 36-par course was originally co-designed by Herbert James Tweedie and Scottish Architect Willie Watson. Jax Northside was added to the 6th green later, but the interior holds plenty of historical images. The lasting impression of metal golf shoe spikes still adds character to the original wood, for example.
Whether you are a golfer stopping by after a round or a visitor ready for creative American foodie favorites, the signature 6th GREEN cocktail is sure to make anyone feel like they’ve made a hole in one!
